Gortsouli, Mantinia, Arcadia – Peloponnese

Greece

Located in the heart of historic Mantineia, just a breath away from the walls of the ancient city, Ktima Panagopoulos stands surrounded by its lush green vineyards. The altitude of 650 meters, the distinct microclimate, and the rich clay-loam soil of the region hold the secret behind the unique aromatic expression of the Moschofilero variety.

With a history beginning in the early 1990s, Theodoros and Themi Panagopoulos, a couple with a deep passion for the land, dedicated their lives to cultivating this distinguished Greek variety in the area of Gortsouli in Ancient Mantineia. Their small-scale experimental winemaking in the early 2000s laid the foundations for a dream that would soon become a reality.

In 2017, a new chapter began for the estate as the second generation of the family, Marilena and Dimitris, took the reins. Their goal is to blend innovation with tradition, producing wines that showcase the richness and potential of the vineyards of Mantineia.

With over three decades of dedicated viticulture, Ktima Panagopoulos continues to honor its heritage, creating wines that reflect the family’s passion and the rich history of the region.
